    In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memory of music goes back to when I was about 7 years old. I was sitting in the backseat of my uncles car with "Ms. Jackson" by Outkast being blasted out the speakers.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Arctic Monkeys, The Car Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Balcony Los Moonlights, 15 de los Moonlights "Current" top three albums. I chose The Balcony because it was the first album that got me into guitar music, writing songs, starting a band and playing shows. I chose The Car because its artistically so genuine. Lastly, los Moonlights are amazing.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Nysad” I really loved making this song. I made it with my friend Taylor in his bedroom studio. The whole process from making the demo, to tracking, to mixing/mastering was genuinely really fun, and I think that energy really shows in the final product.

Chapter 4 Keeper of Secrets, Noble Highness: the Journey of the Mavrocordatos Family from a Borderland Perspective

    Abstract

Nicolas Mavrocordatos (–) was a prominent member of the Phanariot aristocracy, who served as Grand Dragoman of the Imperial Council and then Voyvoda of Moldavia and Wallachia. Using his life as a case study, this paper aims to investigate the Ottoman Empire’s approach to its European borderlands, explore the role of the Phanariots as a centrally appointed border elite, and cast light on the ways in which Nicolas and his family manipulated their identities to fill a variety of political roles. Building on a large body of scholarship on Ottoman dragomans and the Phanariots, this paper takes a closer look at Nicolas’ book Philotheou Parerga (The Leisures of Philotheos). It argues that during the eighteenth century, a novel political culture, the cultural extroversion of the Tulip Era, and newfound anxieties over the empire’s European borderlands transformed the Phanariots into border elites, a shift mirrored in Nicolas’ political career.
